midrange

Epidemiology
The halfway point or midpoint in a set of observations. For most data, the midrange is the sum of the smallest observation and the largest observation, divided by 2; for age data, 1 is added to the numerator. A midrange is usually calculated as an intermediate step in determining other measures.
 
Informatics
adjective Referring to a minicomputer—i.e., one between a microcomputer and a mainframe (distinctions which are no longer made).
 
Statistics
The mean of the highest and lowest values: (Max + Min)/2.
