Nobody doubts that micro-evolution is observed, but observing micro--evolution is not proof that macro-evolution is a fact.
His text is organized in three parts that present the basic quantitative theory of evolution, describe natural selection in natural populations or micro-evolution, and discuss issues of macro-evolution (speciation, extinction, and phylogeny).
Now micro-evolution is still within the possibilities of the archetype or form of a particular being in the philosophical sense in the same way that you and I are human beings, and the Chinese and the Japanese are also human beings.
