metoclopramide /met·o·clo·pra·mide/ (met″o-klo´prah-mīd) a dopamine receptor antagonist and prokinetic that stimulates gastric motility, used as the hydrochloride salt as an antiemetic, an adjunct in gastrointestinal radiology and intestinal intubation, and in the treatment of gastroparesis and gastroesophageal reflux.
