meralgia /me·ral·gia/ (mĕ-ral´jah) pain in the thigh. meralgia paresthe´tica paresthesia, pain, and numbness in the outer surface of the thigh due to entrapment of the lateral femoral cutaneous nerve at the inguinal ligament. meralgia paresthetica [per′esthet′ikə] a condition characterized by pain, paresthesia, and numbness on the lateral surface of the thigh in the region supplied by the lateral femoral cutaneous nerve.
