mastigomycotina

a group of organisms producing ZOOSPORES classified as FUNGI in some classifications and organized into different classes, the Chytridiomycetes, Hyphochytriomycetes and Oomycetes, depending on the nature of the FLAGELLUM carried by the zoospore. Members have alternatively been classified in the five-kingdom system.
