MERLIN
(1) Merlin. A cytoskeleton scaffolding protein [OMIM 607379] which links actin filaments to cell membrane glycoproteins. It is primarily located in nervous tissue, but is also present in foetal tissues at adherens junctions.
(2) MERLIN-TIMI 36. Metabolic Efficiency with Ranolazine for Less Ischemia in Non-ST-Elevation Acute Coronary Syndromes. A trial that evaluated the efficacy and safety of long-term ranolazine in patients with non-ST-elevation acute coronary syndromes who were receiving standard therapy
Conclusion The only parameter to reach statistical significance was recurrent ischaemia, which was lower in ranolazine—14%—than in placebo patients—16%; p = 0.03. There were no difference in total mortality with ranolazine vs. placebo; p = 0.91
