As the sun fades, the little penguins come waddling up the beach to the safety of their homes in the sand dunes.
On a trip to Australia, I once watched as swarms of Little Penguins (the smallest species of penguin at just over a foot tall) popped out of the water, speed-waddled across the beach, and hopped into burrows in the sand.
Penguin Parade (2 hours and 30 minutes): Nothing can be more adorable than a group of little penguins swimming to the shore and afterwards marching towards their burrows in the nearby sand dunes.
