levamisole

levamisole /le·vam·i·sole/ (le-vam´ĭ-sōl) an immunomodulator used with fluorouracil in the treatment of colon cancer, administered as the hydrochloride salt.
levamisole,
an immunomodulator used as an adjuvant treatment in combination with fluorouracil after surgical resection in patients with Dukes' stage C colon cancer.

an oral imidazole that enhances the immume response and is used as the hydrochloride salt as an adjuvant to fluorouracil in antineoplastic therapy after surgery in patients with Dukes' stage C colon cancer.

levamisole
a broad-spectrum anthelmintic of proven efficiency against gastrointestinal and lung worms that can be administered orally, by injection and by pour-on in cattle. It has no effect on tapeworms or liver fluke; it has a secondary effect in enhancing depressed immune responsiveness by stimulation of T lymphocytes and phagocytosis.
