Leptothrix

(lep'tō-thriks),
A now invalid genus of sheathed organisms closely related to the genus Sphaerotilus found in fresh water.

Leptothrix

/Lep·to·thrix/ (lep´tah-thriks) a genus of schizomycetes (family Chlamydobacteriaceae), widely distributed and usually found in fresh water.
