| During July and August 2005, two patients with Legionnaire's disease living in 2 countries in Europe were reported to EWGL1NET. OSHA's technical manual on Legionnaire's Disease (section III, Chapter 7) states that water should not only be stored at a minimum of 140[degrees]F, but it should be "delivered at a minimum of 122[degrees]F to all outlets" to "minimize the growth of Legionella in a system. Drexler reflects on outbreaks of swine flu, legionnaire's disease, and AIDS that took people by surprise in the past few decades. |
