leg (leg)
1. the part of the lower limb between the knee and ankle.
2. in common usage, the entire lower limb, with the part below the knee being called the lower leg .
3. any of the four limbs of a quadruped.

bandy leg  bowleg.
bayonet leg  ankylosis of the knee after backward displacement of the tibia and fibula.
bow leg  see bowleg.
restless legs  a disagreeable, creeping, irritating sensation in the legs, usually the lower legs, relieved only by walking or keeping the legs moving.
scissor leg  deformity with crossing of the legs in walking.

n.
1. One of the two lower limbs of the human body, especially the part between the knee and the foot.
2. A supporting part resembling a leg in shape or function.

leg
strictly, the part of the limb supported by the tibia; generally, see limb (1), forelimb, hindlimb.

leg band
plastic band worn around the pastern in cows. Makes identification easy in pit-type milking sheds, but a band is needed on each hindlimb and muddy lanes make the numbers difficult to read. Metal bands or rings are also placed on the legs of caged birds for identification purposes.
bow leg
genu varum.
leg mange
occurs in horses, cattle and sheep; caused by chorioptesbovis.
milk leg
severe lameness in senior dairy cows due to degenerative arthritis of the femorotibial joint. Presumed due to long-term negative calcium balance in heavy milking cows.
