Sorbonne The University of Paris—formerly the Collège de Sorbonne—was founded in 1253 by Robert de Sorbon as a theological school attached to the Notre Dame cathedral. Today the word Sorbonne no longer refers to the University of Paris but to the historical building located in the Latin Quarter in the 5th arrondissement of Paris Want to thank TFD for its existence?
