Löffler's syndrome [lef′lərz] Etymology: Wilhelm Löffler, Swiss physician, 1887-1972 a benign idiopathic disorder marked by episodes of pulmonary eosinophilia, transient opacities in the lungs, anorexia, breathlessness, fever, and weight loss.
