Ketostix [ke´to-stiks]
trademark for a reagent strip for detection of ketone bodies in the urine.

Ketostix
a commercially available product for rapid detection of ketones in urine, serum or plasma. It consists of a plastic strip with an impregnated paper tip which turns buff pink to purple in a positive reaction.
