Keller spatula
a 3 ft long obstetrical instrument used in the cow and mare to skin part of a fetus in utero prior to performing fetotomy. Has a long round handle and a grooved spatulate end which is used to perform blunt dissection of the skin, having first incised it with a palm knife. Pushing is generated outside the uterus by the operator who has one hand inside to direct the spatula.
