walrus
very large, up to 3500 lb, 15 to 20 ft long, pinniped similar to true seals. They are hairless, although furred at birth, fish-eaters with hindlimbs used for walking on land and the males have large, down-pointed tusks up to 20 inches long. Called also Odobenus rosmarus subspp., e.g. O. rosmarus divergens.
