An electronic nursing Kardex that immediately receives information of new orders enables the nurse to plan for the new care needed and any resulting follow-up well before the patient arrives from another level of care. The complete Hospice Documentation System includes checklists that assist in identifying the appropriate levels of hospice care; patient aide/tech assignments and documentation on one sheet; and Hospice Facility Kardex to document treatments, medications, and other quickly needed information. The Kardex system was not to appear on the scene for several more years. |
