I want to thank Mothering for the article on Kangaroo Care for premature babies ("Caring for Your Premature Baby," March-April 2006).
Kangaroo care closely mimics the womb, keeping the baby calm and warm while also fulfilling the parents' need for physical contact and intimacy.
Kangaroo Care, which involves skin-to-skin contact, has become a noted technique for helping premature infants to flourish.
