Bryophyllum genus of African and Madagascan plants in the family Crassulaceae. Contain bufadienolide, cardiac glycosides; causes dyspnea, diarrhea, cardiomyopathy. Includes B. daigremontium, B. daigremontium × B. tubiflorum, B. fedtschenkoi, B. proliferum. Called also Kalanchoe. Bryophyllum pinnatum B. calycinum, Cotyledon pinnata, live-leaf-of-resurrection plant. Bryophyllum tubiflorum B. delagoense (and its hybrid with B. daigremontianum). Called also mother-of-millions.
