JKAMP

A gene on chromosome 14q23.1 that encodes JNK1/MAPK8-associated membrane protein, which is thought regulate the duration of MAPK8 activity in response to various stress stimuli. JKAMP facilitates degradation of misfolded endoplasmic reticulum luminal proteins by recruiting components of the proteasome and endoplasmic reticulum-associated degradation (ERAD) system.
