For example, FDA noted that analytical methods to determine satisfactory conformance to the final specifications and identity and strength of each active pharmaceutical ingredient (API) prior to release had not been validated for guaifenesin, psuedoephedrine, dextromethorphan, isoxsuprine, sennoside, bisacodyl, calcium polycarbophil and aspirin, as well as combinations of the aforementioned products.
