1. a graft applied or laid on the surface of an organ or structure.
2. a cast metal restoration that overlays cusps and lends strength to the restored tooth.

1. A cast restoration, usually made of gold, that is attached to the occlusal surface of a tooth.
2. A bone graft applied to the exterior surface of the bone.

1 a cast type of metal restoration retained by friction and mechanical forces in a prepared tooth, used for restoring one or more of the tooth's cusps and adjoining occlusal surfaces.
2 an occlusal rest part of a removable partial denture, extended to cover the entire occlusal surface of a tooth.
