In December, the Company's Japanese subsidiary launched PREMINENT, known as HYZAAR in most worldwide markets, the first-ever fixed-dose-combination of an angiotensin receptor blocker and hydrochlorothiazide for the treatment of hypertension.
It was jointly developed with DuPont Merck (now Bristol-Myers Squibb), as was Hyzaar, a combination of Cozaar and hydrochlorothiazide.
