Parathyroid related hypercalcemia Endocrinology Parathyroid gland hyperactivity with excess PTH secretion because of hyperplasia or adenoma of 1 or more glands Clinical Calcium deposits may occur in bone, the GI tract, kidney, muscle, and CNS; it most commonly affects those between 30 and 50 yrs, and is more common in women.
