Romanov
a breed of sheep maintained for their carpetwool and pelt. Gray with black head and legs, white face stripe and feet. May be horned or polled.

1613: Michael Romanov was elected Tsar of Russia, founding the house of Romanov which ruled until the revolution in March 1917.
That particular Russian revolution (there's been a few, and who'd rule out another) led to the fall of Tsar Nicholas II, bringing an end to the rule of the House of Romanov.
