Holstein-Friesian
a breed of black-and-white dairy cattle bred in Canada and the USA from Friesian cattle from the Netherlands. A red-and-white variety is available. Called also Holstein, Friesian.

The breed originated in Holland and has various derived names of Holstein, Friesian and Holstein-Friesian.
Each night he checks his 200 Holstein-Friesian cattle at Hendy Farm, on the outskirts of Caernarfon.
Their Holstein-Friesian cows were housed to the side of the farmhouse and had to traipse past their front doorstep for daily milking.
