n the compatibility of the antigens of donor and recipient of transplanted tissue.
histocompatibility testing,
n the determination of the compatibility of the antigens of donor and recipient before tissue transplantation. Usually follows a blood typing protocol.

histocompatibility testing
Immunology A method of matching self antigens–HLA in transplant donor tissues with those of the recipient; the closer the match, the better the chance that the transplant will “take”. See HLA typing.
