Helichrysum genus in the plant family Asteraceae; in southern Africa H. argyrosphaerum contains an unidentified toxin which causes blindness and paresis resulting from degenerative lesions in the brain. In Australia H. blandowskianum (Argentipallium blandowskianum, everlasting woolly daisy) is hepatoxic but the toxin is unknown. How to thank TFD for its existence? In addition to curry plant, there are several Helichrysums worth cultivating. We combine this with Helichrysum for its anti-inflammatory properties that promote cell regeneration, and we add the Henna for its warm pigment. Inside, some containers feature 'Limelight' and gray-leafed helichrysum varieties together with gray-leafed, burgundy-flowered Geranium sidoides, while still other containers have white Sasanqua camellias surrounded by needlepoint ivy. |
