The combined operation, to be known as Griffiths Green Heat, says that with rising energy costs and global warming issues now to the fore customers can opt for a new eco-friendly heating concept by extracting stored solar energy from the ground beneath their feet and using it to heat radiators.
There are wood-burning stoves in each of the downstairs rooms, and a Rayburn stove is used for cooking and hot water, although the house's insulation is so good that they hardly ever use the stove to heat radiators.
The Electrokinetic pump circulates the fluid in the cooling system through the Microchannel heat collector and to the heat radiator that transfers the heat to air.
