1. European system of identifying teeth by use of a number for each permanent tooth and a + or - sign to indicate the position of each tooth, e.g., 6 + is the upper right first permanent molar.
2. A system for deciduous teeth analogous to that for the permanent teeth in which a 0 is added before the tooth number, e.g., 03+ is the upper right deciduous canine.
