HCG radioreceptor assay,

a urine test to detect pregnancy or missed abortion, performed by measuring human chorionic gonadotropin (HCG), a chemical found only in the urine of pregnant women or in tumors that produce HCG. The normal values are negative (within 2 hours) if the patient is not pregnant and positive (within 1 hour) if the patient is pregnant. Also called pregnancy test.
