guinea fowl
Numida meleagris, the domesticated guinea fowl; there are a number of wild species, all in the bird family Numidinae. Pearly green plumage, long, shapely neck, featherless head and neck except where the head has either a crest of feathers or a bony casque, and a characteristic raucous call.
