The drug interferes with the epidermal growth factor receptor of patients, affecting how cancer cells grow, mutate and survive.
Scientists now report that a novel agent bottles up this so-called epidermal growth factor receptor and stalls the growth of cancer cells in a lab dish.
The collaboration will apply this technology (known as DNA-Programmed Chemistry(TM)) to analyze combinations of members of the Epidermal Growth Factor Receptor (EGFR) family that are present in cancer tissues.
