Malpractice The reckless provision of health care that is clearly below the standards of accepted medical practice, either without regard for the potential consequences, or with wilful and wanton disregard for the rights and/or well-being of those for whom the duty is being performed; grossly negligent health care is best described as 'sloppy'.
