Patient discussion about audit. Q. Who will help me then? I moved out of my parents house at 18 because I couldn't deal with my dads mood swings or his drinking anymore. A friend of mine went over to my parents house one day and saw how he was acting and my mom told her about all this stuff that had been going on. My friend then said she recognized the signs of him having manic depression. I want to know what the signs are and I wanted to know if there was anything I could do to help. It doesn't help that he's making my mom depressed (she really is .I don't know what you'd call it yet though) and she has become addicted to prescription medication for her headaches). I was searching for An information and posted these questions on many forums but i didn't get any valuable response at last i found a solution and I belong to this community called iMedix. Here they have a very supportive and helpful Bipolar support group. This site has helped me a lot and I would like to share it with all of you here.
A. Hello Michael. I see you care for your parents. It may be hard for them to take advice from you. All you can do is try and get them to go see their doctor. Its wise to move away from a situation involving addiction and alcoholism as you have done. You have to go on with your life and hopefully not let the other situation drag you down. Perhaps your parents have friends or relatives that you could contact and ask for help in dealing with them. If the suggestions come from multiple fronts than maybe there is better hope the light will come on for them to seek help. For you, there is a group called Al-Anon. Its not AA. Al-Anon is for people who have been on the receiving end of having to live with an alcoholic or addicted person. They can help you. Alcoholism and drug addiction affect everyone around the one with the problem. You have been living in a tough situation. But you are strong enough to do something about it. Good for you.
Q. Can the fetus hear through the womb? My wife wants to play music to our baby and put earphones on her pregnant stomach so he can hear it. Can he really hear the music?
A. Yes. The fetus can hear sounds from the 18th week of the pregnancy and during the 7th month his ears start responding to the sounds that reach him through the fluids of the womb. He can hear his mother's heart beats and vowel movements. From the third trimester he can even hear the noises from the street and outside world.

A. Hi Samir again, do you know the film "Patch Adams"? This film is based on a true story. Watch this film and listen exactly to the conversations (particularly from Robin Williams). A hospital has a medical staff. You have to learn, how you check a doctor to recognize which one is for you useful and which one you would prefer to put in the trash. Respect them, but avoid them when they are not honest with you. You ask yourself now perhaps, how you can check a doctor? Here I prepared for the Community a recipe:

For the hospital: I would prefer to stay in a hospital on the country-side than in a large city. What about you?
