Gonglyonema a genus of (spiruroids) nematodes in the superfamily Spiruroidea. Gonglyonema crami, Gonglyonema ingluvicola found in the crop of domestic fowls. Gonglyonema minimum found in the esophagus of primates; may cause anemia, vomiting, gastritis and enteritis. Gonglyonema monnigi found in the rumen of sheep and goats. Gonglyonema neoplasticum found in the tongue, esophagus and stomach of laboratory rats and mice but causes little epithelial reaction. Gonglyonema pulchrum (syn. Gonglyonema scutatum) occurs in the esophageal mucosa of ruminants and occasionally in humans. Gonglyonema sumani found in the crop of domestic fowl. Gonglyonema verrucosum found in the rumen of ruminants. |
