German shorthaired pointer

a medium- to large-sized gun dog with pendulous ears, docked tail and very short haircoat that is liver- or black-colored in solid, spotted or ticked patterns. It is used as a retriever and pointer. The breed is affected by an inherited GM2 gangliosidosis.
