Gerlach needle

a needle designed for inserting buried, perivaginal sutures in cows. Consists of a loop large enough to fill the palm, a shank about 4 inches long and a slightly scooped, flattened point with an eyehole large enough to take tape. Reminiscent of a bagneedle.
