a tubercle on the anterolateral side of the upper end of the tibia giving attachment to the iliotibial tract and some fibers of the tibialis anterior muscle.
A bony prominence on the tibia that is the attachment site for the iliotibial band. It is located on the anterolateral portion of the proximal tibia just lateral to the superior tibial tuberosity.
