GOLGA4

A gene on chromosome 3p22-p21.3 that encodes golgin A4, a protein which localises to the Golgi apparatus. It is thought to play a role in
Rab6-regulated membrane-tethering in the Golgi, and in delivering transport vesicles containing GPI-linked proteins from the trans-Golgi network by its interaction with MACF1.

Molecular pathology
Sjögren syndrome is characterised antibodies to GOLGA4 and other components of the Golgi.
