GATA2

GATA2

A gene on chromosome 3q21.3 that encodes a member of the GATA family of zinc finger transcription factors, which plays a key role in regulating transcription of genes involved in the development and proliferation of haematopoietic and endocrine cell lineages, and in regulating endothelin-1 gene expression.

Compared with controls, mRNA expression in gWAT from male offspring was significantly lower in both dose groups for AdipoR2 and ACC and in BPA50 offspring for SCD1, whereas lower expression of LPL in both dose groups was significant based on one-way ANOVA only, and a significant one-way ANOVA for GATA2 reflected significantly lower and higher expression, respectively, in BPA0.

Results: We demonstrated that -202--57 region of the FBX07 promoter is likely to contain sequences that are bound by positive trans protein factors to activate FBX07 expression and GATA2 is the main trans protein factor enhancing FBX07 expression.
Tests in April last year showed Daryl had Atypical CML Monosomy 7 in Malignant Clone with Constitutional GATA2 Deficiency.
SAN DIEGO--When genital warts return again and again in women no matter what's tried, it's time to think of GATA2 immunodeficiency, according to investigators from the National Institutes of Health, in Bethesda, Md.
Inhibition of endothelial miR-24 significantly reduced myocardial infarct size via prevention of endothelial apoptosis and enhancement of vascularity after AMI through targeting of the endothelium-enriched transcription factor GATA2 and the p21-activated kinase 4 (PAK4), which led to preserved cardiac function and was closely related to HF [82].
For example, cytogenetically normal AML (CN-AML) with biallelic CEBPA ( bi-CEBPA ) mutations has very specific zinc finger 1 mutations in the transcription factor GATA binding protein 2 ( GATA2 ).
In addition, patients who have ELANE, SDS or GATA2 mutation also carry a risk for development of leukemia (12, 22).
Zhang and Wu have found out that stimulating the gene expression of [gamma]-globin, EpoR, Spi, and FKLF, while hindering the gene expression of Ckit, GATA1, and GATA2, could promote the [gamma]-globin gene expression and alter the expression of gene which is responsible for the regulation of [gamma]-globin gene expression and the expression of other genes that are participated in the survival, proliferation, and terminal differentiation of erythroid cells [76].
This has led to the identification of a transcriptional programme controlled by GATA2 that is selectively essential for RAS mutant lung cancer cell survival.
We discovered that the Notch protein, which is involved in the development of most tissues, is responsible for activating the gene GATA2 which is necessary to generate hematopoietic stem cells; at the same time, it induces the reproduction of its own repressor, HES-1," said Anna Bigas, the coordinator of the research group on stem cells and cancer at IM1M:
