Food Animal Residue Avoidance Database (FARAD)
a computer-based decision support system designed to provide practical information on how to avoid drug, pesticide and environmental contaminant residue problems. A USA national food safety project administered through the U.S. Department of Agriculture Cooperative State Research, Education, and Extension Service (CSREES) with cooperation by North Carolina State University, University of California-Davis and the University of Florida. It has a comprehensive compendium of food animal drugs including withdrawal time for all drugs approved for use in food animals and advice on withdrawal periods required for extra label drug use can be obtained by phone or email.
