Q. Is it safe for teenagers to use weight loss products? This isn't an ethical question, but quite literally asking if it is safe for a teenager to use weight loss solutions like weight loss milkshakes and other things of that nature. Thanks in advance! A. Well, do you mean meal replacement shakes? It should be fine as long as you only use it as a supplement to a well balanced, nutritionally strong eating plan. I would NOT take any pills of any kind. I have heard of horror stories where young men took weight loss pills and energy pills and suffered from heart attacks. But if you just want to take some whey protein shakes or a meal replacement shake then you should be fine. Of course you should consult your doctor before starting any exercise plan. Q. Is it safe to mix alcohol and Marijuana? A friend of mine suggested smoking some in a party after drinking heavily…I refused because I don’t know what the effect will be…is it dangerous? A. Good call…not that it can kill you or something but using one drug that effect the central nervous system is bad enough but still “controllable”’ while mixing both cannot produce any expected reaction. Every time doing so you can find yourself in a very different state. About the toxisity- not enough is known about marijuana and mixing it with alcohol to say for sure that it’s toxic. But also the other way around…no one can asure you it’s safe. I would avoid doing so. Q. What is the safe amount of alcohol? I like alcohol, but I don’t want to end up an alcoholic. Or even have the problems that come with it (liver problems etc….) A. the best method is not too drink at all,and you wont have any problems to worry about.
