Festuca
pasture grasses, members of the family Poaceae; toxic when infested with endophytic fungi or grass nematodes. Includes F. arundinacea (F. elatior var. arundinacea, tall fescue) with Neotyphodium(Acremonium) coenophialum (causes fescue summer toxicosis and fescue foot); F. rubra var. commutata (Chewing's fescue) + Anguina agrostis nematodes + Clavibacter toxicus causes tunicaminyluracil poisoning.
