n 1. the act of breathing forth or expelling air from the lungs.

3. the date that the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) requires pharmaceutical manufacturers to provide on all their products. For the majority of drugs sold in the United States, these dates range from 12 to 60 months from the date they are manufactured.
