drug class: synthetic opioid analgesic (Controlled Substance Schedule II); action: attaches to opiate receptors in the central nervous system; uses: moderate to severe pain, normally used in combination with aspirin or acetaminophen, the opioid found in Percodan, Percocet, and Tylox.
