carbamate /car·ba·mate/ (kahr´bah-māt) any ester of carbamic acid.
carbamate [kär′bəmāt] any of a group of anticholinesterase enzymes that cause reversible inhibition of cholinesterase. They are used in certain medications and insecticides.
