coca shrub

A South American shrub, the leaves of which contain cocaine; coca leaves continue to be used in the Andes for increasing concentration and reducing pain, fatigue and hunger.

Erythroxylum coca

a South American plant in family Erythroxylaceae from which cocaine is extracted. E. bolivianum is also used.
