A rounded projection at the end of a bone, located on or above a condyle and usually serving as a place of attachment for ligaments and tendons.

This bony lump is known as the lateral epicondyle and is the point of insertion of a large number of forearm muscle tendons.
Four points were defined with respect to the rigid body on the forearm: the radial process, the ulnar process, the medial epicondyle, and the lateral epicondyle.
The medial femoral epicondyle was defined as the origin of the deep part of the medial collateral ligament and was usually a central sulcus surrounded by a bony ridge.
