Eperythrozoon /Ep·eryth·ro·zo·on/ (ep?ah-rith?ro-zo´on) a genus of the family Bartonellaceae; its members are of limited pathogenicity, infecting rodents, cattle, sheep, and swine. Eperythrozoon a group of bacteria that parasitize erythrocytes and now are recognized to be within the genus Mycoplasma. E. coccoides and E. parvum have not yet been reassigned.
